Setcan® Corporation is a privately owned company located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Over the past 15 years the Setcan® team has developed and commercialized many new products and they have quickly become the world’s largest provider of reality based training products and Instructor level certifications for law enforcement, military and security organizations.

Shocknife® Inc. was incorporated November 2004 to research, design, commercialize, and distribute the patented Shocknife® training knife. It is the only training knife in the world capable of inducing the necessary fear and acute stress required for realistic and effective training for LE, Private Security, Military and Corrections markets. Shocknife® Inc. has sold product to LE, military, Security and Correctional agencies in over 30 countries. The Shocknife® Spontaneous Edged Weapon Defense Instructor Course was launched in 2008 and has been delivered all across the world to agencies such as United States Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, United States Custom Border Patrol, Spanish and German police agencies, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Setcan® Corporation was established in 2006 to distribute a complete line of reality based training products and deliver Instructor level training courses to Officer Safety/Defensive Tactics/Use of Force/Instructor Trainers and Master Instructors in Law Enforcement, Military, Corrections and Security Agencies. Setcan® is currently the world’s largest supplier of Reality Based Training (RBT) products and Instructor Level Certifications. Products sold exclusively include the StressVest®, Shocknife®, Blue BatonTM, DTS ToolsTM, KinetXTM Baton, and SIMBLASTTM training IED’s. Setcan® training programs researched, developed, copyrighted and delivered worldwide include the product based safety certifications such as the StressVest® RBT Instructor Certification, Shocknife® Spontaneous Edged Weapon Defense Instructor Course, and SABRE® OC Instructor Certification. Setcan® officer safety programs include the Setcan® Role Player Certification, Setcan® Principle Based Rapid Response, and Setcan® Principle Based Subject Control Certification. In addition Setcan® offers consulting services on reality based training to law enforcement and security agencies and operates the largest private law enforcement training center in Canada.

StressVest® Corporation was incorporated in 2009 to research, design, commercialize, and distribute the patented StressVest®. StressVest® is the manufacturer and patent holder of the world’s first non-projectile, force on force, firearm tactical training system capable of creating stress through a pain penalty without fear of projectile injury for training Law Enforcement Officers and Military Soldiers. The system utilizes training firearms that fire a laser pulse which activates the StressVest® when it strikes center mass. Depending on the setting, the vest will either deliver a vibration or a safe, localized shock to the abdomen.
The original StressVest® GEN1 was launched in Jan 2012. After a complete redesign, StressVest® launched its current GEN2 version in January of 2013, which features a wireless StressX® PRO belt, complete blank based system, Instructor CQT Tablet and advanced IED integration. StressVest® launched its Reality Based Training Instructor Certification in 2013, where such notable agencies such as the US Navy Security Forces, US NSA Police, US New York/New Jersey Port Authority, and Dubai SWAT have been certified.
